Play Guitar And Sing

I was born in Minto, a coal mining town.
Most of the men from there worked in the mines.
From dawn till dust they spent underground,
But Minto was also known for it's music and songs.

I used to be a drummer but then I moved away.
I still loved music so a guitar I learnt to play.
I moved from job to job but finally settled down,
Not far from that coal mining town.

I am getting older, a senior so they say.
When I look into the mirror my beard is turning grey.
I still like to spend time with my friends,
When we get together we like to play guitar and sing.

I have things in life that I'd like to do,
I hope I get a chance to accomplish just a few.
But no matter what this old life brings,
I will always be happy to play guitar and sing.
Yes, I will always enjoy to play guitar and sing.
